Festivities Along the Corridor!

LOL!

Thats right!

Festivities is round the corner along the corridor because I am already halfway there!

HAHA!

Had my first Chinese New Year celebration on Wednesday with almost the whole company when the original plan was to have with it with only the IS people!

The dinner cum Lou Hei was at Farmart, some bird-don't-lay-eggs corner of Chua Chu Kang and Lim Chu Kang.

Then came Friday...

When the entire HQ Armour, including my unit of course, was involved in the Chinese New Year celebration with the bosses and big bosses and big big ballsbosses of HQ Armour.

Played 3 rounds of BINGO! which none did I took part. Then got to lou hei again with my platoon mates but this time the lou hei quality lousier but more violent. Edwin Ng got veggie strands on his head! LOL! But I must say the food catered seems really not bad though I only ate the Ice Kacang because thats the only thing we get to make ourselves, as in add in the ingredients ourselves! LOL.

After that, my platoon mates went to PS with me to celebrate my 20th BIRTHDAY at Manhattan's Fish Market!! They finally got rid of the non-existent butter cod and replaced it with something called Cherry something.

I realised I really have an ability to quickly forget things that ain't appealing to me. Like the Cherry something.

LOL.

Then at night, my family brought me to the long-ago-wanted-to-go restaurant called the Prima Revolving Restaurant at Harbourfront area. LOL. My parents kept telling me that they brought me there once when I was much much much younger. And the restaurant is still revolving after so so so many years! PLUS POINT: you don't get dizzy with the spinning. LOL

And the dinner is really a 1x expensive one. Though the food is exemplary.

Today woke up.

Really wished it was 2010, because I will ORD on my birthday next year which is this date. HAHA!

Found many SMSes left by my loved ones and writings on my Wall. Once again, I really thanks everyone for remembering this date and spending the effort to SMS me or write on my wall. THANKS ALOT, especially when I saw SMSes and writings from friends whom we rarely communicate with each other in Nan Hua Sec.

There were some really LOL SMS such as one from Meiting which wished my a Happy 18th Birthday! HAHA! After I exposed her, she aid she meant me to be always as young as 18 years old. HAHA. I AM! LOLOLOL. I mean mental age. HAHA!

Another one is infuriating because I got tricked! LOL! because Chrsitine wrote a sms with a FULL STOP in the middle and blank blank the middle part, and I really thought it was a full stop. So only reading till there, I replied her and THAT EXPOSED ME!!

ARGHH!

When she replied me, I shouted OMG! in my room lah! And laughed silly myself. LOL.

Wei Hong, you cannot believe yourself man. ZZZ.

And tomorrow is still to have the usual Reunion Steamboat on the Redwood table and maybe some visiting at night.

Monday will be seeing most of my relatives = most of my angbao! HAHA!

Tuesday most probably is rest already because I need to book in at night!

Then on, only you will know when I will blog again, because when I blog again, you will see it here. LOL! HAHA!

Enter February, there will be a 2 day course, equipment test, 2 weeks of exercise.

Lets all let Mr March wait for us to catch up first ba!

Sneak Preview at 2009!

BAM!

I believe my first 6 months of 2009 is going to be a blockbuster, topping box office all around Singapore.

Why?

Because the past week has been a simulation of what I will be doing for the next 5 months. And who knows what will happen again after June 2009.

But despite my tone, I am quite certain everything will pass quite fruitfully with at least an overseas trip in bag.

Anyway, went to my Aunt's husband's funeral yesterday night. It was somewhat not as sombre as what I thought it would be. Perhaps I only felt sadness fromhis immediate family. Somethings doesn't tally with what I thought a funeral is always like. Quite glad that my cousins took it well, perhaps because they were all mentally prepared for some time already.

Love, I garner, is really really such a profound intangible.

It is has many identities.

It lets one misunderstand the wrong identities.

It keeps one guessing if it is true.

It makes one irrational.

It makes one seek for cheap thrills.

It makes one sacrifice.

It makes one keep a portion of conscious for the loved one.

It makes one think of her whenever he sees something related.

It makes one's insides burn when they are not together, just like how Dumbledore felt when he drank the potion in the cave that was hiding the Horcrux.

I believed everyone has loved something or somebody at a certain point in life. I don't know about others, but I felt it has a life of its own. It grows. It has roots like a fungus, hard to rid of it and it grows again at every chance it has.

Someone said it well, try to rediscover what it was that brought you two together in the beginning, and see if it's still there today. if it's gone, it's time to move on.

For me, I guess I tried to move on, but realised that I am still rooted to the very start.

And to the readers, do believe that nothing is too late, except for latecoming.

And I can't believe I typed that chunk of incoherent.

P.S I will try to blog as often as possible, with more interesting entries than today's. LOL

Olympic Frenzy!

YESYES!

I know I am already very late here. But I would still like to say that Olympics really rocks socks. Have been practically trying to update myself on the Olympic happenings everyday when I am in camp.

Now I have got no more socks. LOL

If you are one of those potatocrouch out there, you should have even hear something about a medal and a drought and a Feng while you were channel surfing today.

Singapore is going to get at least, and I think most probably, a silver.

Thus we have broken a 40-odd years of a medal drought. Some people might claim a curse is broken. LOL

And Feng of the Singapore Table-tennis women's team was a heroine of the day.

I was watching the match on TVMobile and I felt really happy when the South Korean lost. But something has been boggling in my mind.

Now that we have gotten ourselves a hard-earned Olympic medal, will the ever-endless hype about an Olympic medal turn to the people getting the medal?? Soon, we might continue to aim for the next Olympic medal being won by a true blue Singaporean.

But thats my guess lah. We are still ever ambitious, not that we do not appreciate whatever that has been done because those athletes out there are still Singapore citizens.

Anyway, I thought that there will be Chinese Martial Arts when Olympics started. LOL

Enough of this.

My legs and hands have been getting rather itchy recently, considering the number of months I have not moved on dance mats. And I need some music.

My computer has been really cranky recently. Time to devote some of my time for a computer overhaul!!

I shall update again these few days. Now can't really think of stuff to write!!

Familiarisation!

It has been a few weeks since I entered my new unit!

I guess everything has been going fine. Lots of happenings already!

And because I always never go nights-out during the weekdays, I spend all my weekends going out. Thats why I have no time to blog at all for the past 2 weekends!

Hectic Saturday I had yesterday!

Chiong down JJC to get my A level certificate.

Chiong to Orchard to meet Richard get my long overdue books. YES its books again.

Sauntered down PA to meet up with DI and I was still quite early I guess.

Went to the floating platform and helped out with PA's item.

Chiong over to Marina Square to meet people. Half way stopped by some Prudential Financial Consultant. Don't know whats gotten into me. I actually bothered to listen to her speaking for quite some time.

Hello Ms Prudential, I have no money in my coffers except maybe some 1 cents which is lost in some cracks. Stop eyeing on my pitiful monthly allowances. Tsk.

By the time I met my friends, its already quite late. zzz

I just realised, my keyboard is freaking dirty already. Got to clean it soon.

Oh yes, the darn Prudential person said Economics is freaking difficult. Darn you.

Alright, I have alot of things to pack. Blog again next week.

Oh yes, I am promoted to Lance Corporal from 1 Aug!! A little more money into my coffers. Officially a Lan Jiao Peng from then on. HAHA~!

Still got to help my dog bath!

2 days of rest at home is not enough!!

No more alternate days of duty.

No more messy weekends.

Now, there is no more weekdays!

Thats right thats right! I have received my newest posting and it is a stay-in unit. Meaning I will be in camp from Sunday night to Friday evening. Meaninging only weekend free!

Era of Saving is back!

Oh yes, my permanent unit for the next 1.5 years is 23rd Signal Battalion, back to Sungei Gedong Camp for good.

Besides the inaccessibility, I guess everything there is rather fine.

One important thing! There will only be updates on the weekends. NO MORE NUFFNANG ADS FOR ME!!

And I am going to miss out on alot of things with my weekdays being used up. Thats why I missed out on Kim Yein's sis's gymnastics competition. Although I don't know the results but still congrats on being still in one piece! LOL

Anyway, met many people over the weekend when I went to sew my uniforms.

Claudine Chai Bao Ya

Anjolene and Nicole

Ting Yang

Oh YES! I managed to see the fly past for NDP NE Show yesterday from my house.

Last Day of Off!

Hello 9th July!

Woke up abruptly by my phone's alarm. 9.30am! SO, I was alarmed, and went back to sleep and woke up again at near 11.

Dreads.

I still got many things unfinished and I still wanted to go back Nan Hua because it is their elections tml.

Went out to get a hair cut. So short.

RAHH!

I really still got alot of things undone and its clogging my brains up.

Oh yes, 1 unexpected appearance.

Met Daren Tan in Holland Village when I went to get the Pedigree DentaSticks for my Peanut. He was eating at the noodle stall there with a lady. *shrugs*

Maybe I should tell myself one good thing again.

TML IS PAY DAY!!

But its only 500 dollars.

Sad.

Maybe I miss my Suharto book too much. I should get it from Richard soon.

I think I will have much more to blog about when I receive my posting tml MORNING back at Stagmont.

Unless you want to listen to me rant about how much I have more to pack and prepare.

Anyway, saw a book in Kino on Aquarius 2009. Says that it will be a bad year to start any weight loss programme. Too many temptations *plays the Temptation Island theme song again*

USA Hip Diner is macham Billy Bombers Original

And I have been missing the Oprah episodes on Hallmark recently. I am starting to miss her hair.

LOL

I have not been to the Singapore Flyer.

Richard has not accompanied me to Sentosa.

I have not gone out with Sexy Zi Chao.

I have not got myself a new backpack.

I have not planned where to go after ORD. Thailand? Turkey? India? Nepal?

SO.

I cannot give up.

Because there are many things waiting for me.

Plus, I love spacings in my entry.

Spiderman!!

YEA!!

The Spiderman craze is really back!! Or at least for me. HAHA!

I must really enjoy those shows on my PSP tml when I am back in camp, provided that I don't get any rubbish. People there are getting sick and tired of the norms already, just as everything is going to end soon. Bad omen.

Anyway, below is the lyrics for the original 1967 Spiderman TV cartoon series!

Spider-Man, Spider-Man, does whatever a spider can!
Spins a web any size, catches thieves just like flies!
Look out! Here comes the Spider-Man!

Is he strong? Listen, bud, he's got radioactive blood!
Can he swing from a thread? Take a look overhead!
Hey there! There goes the Spider-Man!

In the chill of night, at the scene of the crime
Like a streak of light, he arrives just in time!

Spider-Man, Spider-Man, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man!
Wealth and fame he's ignored, action is his reward!

To him, life is a great big bang-up!
Wherever there's a hang-up, you'll find the Spider-Man!!!

HAHA! I think except for the first verse, the rest are pretty childish. LOL But I think it is really nice to be able to take a look at what filled our childhood days. We are all young people!

Anyway, went out with Esther, Jan and Koon Hui just now. Roamed around at Vivocity and going out with people, especially Koon Hui who induces a spending disease. I really wonder how much we spent tonight just on eating!

Darn tired.

But recently, either in camp or just now, I was on an exuberant mood. Irrational exuberance I should say! It really feels good! *does the M1 advertisement action*

LOL I am really addicted to that action already. Because the advertisement is plain stupid, it is catchy especially with the 3 good-for-nothings + 1 fat boss.

And how come I haven't eat any durians this durian season!! I see durian every other day when I book out from camp and yet I have not eaten any!

OK, random. HAHA!

Oh yes, I need to change my blog song before the girls come back from Taiwan. Monday it shall be!

And Sleep I really need!

And and I shall hug my dog to sleep tonight! Long time no 1x good hug!

Till then~! (See, trademarks of a blog with international standards. We don't use byebye)

*NEWSFLASH*

Mrs Lee Kuan Yew has suffered another massive haemorrhage while in hospital.

A statement from Minister Mentor's Office said on Tuesday she is critically ill, with guarded prognosis for recovery.

Mrs Lee, 87, has been at Tan Tock Seng Hospital since May 12 after suffering a stroke, and has been under close observation. - CNA/ac

*NEWSFLASH*

Really, get well soon. There has been many cases of husbands, who are deeply attached to their spouse, dying right after their wife left the world.

Anyway, didn't post any entry the day before because I was busy with people. HAHA!

Rushed out from home to Changi Airport to send the few girls to Taiwan with my mother nagging that this kind of thing is not important because they are going for vacation. LOL Ate Popeye there but I think the taste has changed a bit somehow.

After that met up with Esther and Koonhui at City Hall MRT. LOL Talked about alot of rubbish. Mainly problem solving. Then Esther left for house warming and it was Koonhui and me!

We just kept walking and talking and sometimes eating. But I wonder how much had he absorbed.

Today is totally slacking at home.

I gues our next outing is with Jan when she finishes her mid years with a bang. Yes, a bang. Because I think she will bang her head against the wall when she receives her results. HAHA!

Shall post something more interesting next time. Because the weather is so freaking warm, nothing is coming out from my brain. Even if something is coming out, it has melted already.

People, please stop global warming.

New Entertainment!

I know I know! I didn't blog on the last time I booked out from camp! But I should be pardoned because I was out on a mission! LOL

Everything went like this. I suggested to Richard (BMT goody friend) that we should go sun tanning because the sun was simply fabulous at that time when I called him. And he, being the lazy bum, refused to face the sun like some vampire. LOL And he also didn't want to go to Queensway SC because its too far. I thought there was no place in Singapore that is near for him.

So we met in Wheelock Borders. He really looked pissed because I 'caused' him to wake up too early. -.- BUT the main mission for the day is to source for a PSP! Haha! And so we were in Far East because I had unreliable sources saying that there is a shop that sells PSP at a lower price.

We really met all sorts of shopkeepers there.

From old Ah Beng who self proclaim that all this stuff are real to ah peks who talk with his hand half covering his mouth and seemed to treat us as non-existent. This is what I call desensitised uncles. Someone who answers so many queries everyday but yet none bought anything from him.

We learned how to spot real and fake Sony Memory sticks (4Gb)!! By using your naked eye, the words on the true blue original Sony memory card will look greyish and less bright than the fake ones, on which the words are purely white in colour and bright. One thing is that the fonts and font size are the same!

If you are using a PSP, you can go to check the memory card information. Real Sony ones will have Magic Gate supported while fakes do not support Magic Gate, although I don't know what that is. Can it be eaten?? ZzzZZZzz

One thing to take note, fake Sony memory cards cracks and breaks easily. Really easily. Especially at the comb-like part. Somemore, even fakes have difference in quality. Some fakes are better than some. Ironic!

Anyway, back to the story.

So in then end, we went to a ulu shop and found what we want! We really spent alot of time in Far East because of indecisiveness! LOL.

And today, stupid Richard don't even want to reply my sms on whether we are going out today! I think he is just scared that I will drag him to Sentosa! HAHA!

*NEWSFLASH*

If KY/PF/IVY/YS is reading this, please be informed that there is a high possibility that I might not be able to meet you all while you guys are on the way to the airport because my newest state-of-the-art Golden Arrow Sensors sensed that I will fall victim to Golden Arrows on Saturday.

If so, there might be a chance that I might not even be able to make it to the airport by 1215 on Sunday. It all depends on luck then!

No matter what, I will inform you guys again on Saturday.

*NEWSFLASH*

And today, I have spent some time zhng-ing the PSP version. LOL and watching all-time favourite Bobby Ouyong's Forensic Scientist 2. And doing all the things that I need to do, like blogging!

Oh yes. The stupidest thing happened this morning. Samaritan Teo was half dragging and half carrying the 3 bags of rubbish and 1 ration bag for about 100m. When he is left with 25 more metres to go, a bag of rubbish broke open. And very very unfortunately, that bag contains nothing but Me Tai Mak(老鼠粉). Lots of it. So there was a unsightly picturesque trail of Mak on the road. I really tried to pick big chunks of it up already!

I wonder if I will get into trouble tml. Maybe they might ask me to eat up all the leftover food in future so that there wouldn't be anymore such incidents in future. LOL JOKING LAH. Those people are so nice, I hope.

WAIT. KEEP STILL THERE!

I just heard 4 gunshot-like audio signals. I hope they are not culling anymore crows in my area again. The last time they did it, a dead crow fell onto the back ofmy Dad's lorry. The sight was unsightly.

Time for me to continue with more entertainment!

Ask me for the links to watch it online!

Lizard Galore!

WOOTS. I am back from camp, yet again!

Finally brought my bedsheet and pillow case home to give it a thorough wash to rid it of the greyish shade and weird stains, though the few small brownish weird stains is still there. I really thought that the bedsheet wouldn't dry up in time for me to to bring back camp tml and use. But it is dry like dry biscuits within hours. Maybe this is one good side of global warming. LOL JOKING LAH~!

Was feeling rather siao on today! Even though I had night duty again yesterday (badly woken up at 3 am!!), I still went to have a good run after soaking the bedsheet and pillow case. Stamina really is CMI. At least at SI, there was something that pushes me to run even with aching tendons. I really miss SI and the warrant officers there!

Washed up and had breakfast. Was drinking Vitasoy and eating some cake-ish thingy that we all had eaten before when we were young. It was bought by my brother's girlfriend and seriously, it looked rather nice to eat. So, eat lor. Vitasoy plus nice cake-ish thingy plus good 'ol newspaper to read, relaxing isn't it.

A few hours later, my mother returned home. I think she was enticed by the packaging of the cake-ish thingy and she, unlike me, took out the packet from the plastic bag and suddenly,

AHHHHHHHHHHHH! *a spine-chilling scream*

I thought my dog pee-ed at some forbidden place lah. So I went to the living room and took a look. My mother was holding on to the bag of cake-ish thingy and asking me if I ate anything from there.

THEN I SAW A FARTING BIG LIZARD SLEEPING COMFORTABLY UNDER ALL THE CAKE-ISH THINGY IN THE BAG LAH!

Can you imagine how nice the cake-ish thingy are? Even the lizard risk being killed to be able to lie with all the cake-ish thingy. Seems like I made a right choice to eat it! I guess this is what will happen when even houseflies and mozzies are not enticing. The kingdoms of houseflies and mozzies really need to buck up and pull up the wings.

My mother was still laughing, saying I shared saliva with a lizard, large one some more.

The next thing my mother said is to buy the cake-ish thingy again and leave it there to attract more lizard because she really hates the lizards. Once, she bought those sticky pads that attracts lizards to it. After a few days, you will find dismembered pieces of the lizards stuck on the sticky pads because when the lizard is stuck, it kept moving trying to break free until it tore its body. And the bad thing about it. Hordes of ants will come out to claim the lizard. So the sticky pads will have a trail of dead ants, sacrificed themselves for the rest to be able to reach the lizard.

Come to think of it, I should have kept the lizard in the bag and brought it to my current camp. I think the lizard will find the mozzies at night to be challenging. Tough wings to crack. The mozzie coils are bad for health. WE NEED NATURAL PREDATORS OF MOZZIES IN CAMP!

Come on. Don't. Don't be jealous. You people out there might not even have such a close encounter with the lizard, moreover I met a big one. HAHA! I should have taken a picture of it for safekeeping! Wasted.

For now, the lizard is safely lying together with the rubbish in the rubbish chute.

Anyway, there was this small article on the Straits Times yesterday claiming that we might have found a new source of crude oil which is produced as by-products by bacteria, just now how ethanol is produced from yeast. And if it feeds on the Brazilian sugar canes, a barrel of crude oil might just cost USD50!! It is really something to look forward to amid all the noise about having not enough crude oil production as demand is outstripping the supply. Isn't that the purpose of abolishing subsidies and raising prices so that demand will decrease because it is no longer worth it to consume oil, though we learn that it is a commodity we are all too dependent on. I suddenly thought of Ms Lai. (Shall not post her cute picture here)

We shouldn't really be too concerned with the oil thing actually. What we have forgotten is the core of the current problem. We are facing global warming because of too much carbon dioxide being released into the air. Yes, we need carbon caps, we need to reduce production levels to that of many years ago. However, we also need to constantly replenish the lungs of Earth. Have we been focusing on reforestation? Are we all giving it up because we all deem it as something which only produces effect in the long term?

Ironic isn't it? It is precisely because trees help in the long term, that is why we should start now. By the time carbon caps are taking its effect, we will realise that the lungs are working. Reducing carbon production is not going to work well, because it is a reduction, not a ban. Allowing the nature to take its natural path is the one more certain way of preventing a catastrophe.

Everyone should watch An Inconvenient Truth and National Geographic's 6 Degrees.

And why am I getting so anal about the global warming thing?

Because I cannot get to have a good sleep in camp due to the thermometer bulb blasting temperature. I will keep tossing on the bed to get to a new cooler spot. Just when I was about to fall asleep, the guy sleeping on the upper level of the double decker bed starts his choosing of the cooler spot. So the double decker will start to shake like people shaking their bombom. And the most irritating thing is that there is a wall fan! But it only turns for 5 degrees before it turns away again! So it is practically only blowing cool air to the lifeless aisle.

I must try to fix that tml when I return to camp.

I MUST!

It Was A Black Friday!!

Fridays the 13th have never been a bad day for me, at least in contrast to what everyone say.

There was no spoilt doorlocks, no banana peels for me to step on outside my house, no dead rats/birds on the to camp, no traffic jams, no vehicle breakdown, I didn't forget to bring camp pass, I didn't kena any bird shit. None of that sort.

AND someone else got the morning Golden Arrow.

I was a happy man!

But somehow, the day felt weird. It was warmer than usual in the afternoon, my head felt a bit giddy a bit headache-y. I really wondered why.

Checked my phone. A missed call from the Golden Bow. Within half an hour, I realised that I kena the Night Golden Arrow.

What pisses me off is that there are people who have not done their share and yet the cycle is deemed completed and it was my turn again!

I really lost my source of optimism yesterday until night time.

At least for the past half year, I have managed to tell myself to look at things in different perspectives and savour the benefits that is hidden. Yesterday really made me feel like being demented. LOL like many dementors flying past me.

So there goes my first bad Black Friday.

Anyway, one happy thing to look forward to: Dad's Day Celebration!

Finally one good day for my dad to relax a bit, though he still have to drive me to camp tml! HAHA! But he has always been the one organising celebrations for the -days during the year, until a point when we might panic a little on how to celebration his day. HAHA!

I hope the dinner is a night one.

Have you not planned for a Dad's Day celebration?

Recently, I took a good look at my parents and really looked closely. I really felt that that have grown older, more wrinkles, more white hair. Take a good look at your parents and spot the differences. It makes you want to provide them with a good life in future, no matter what has happened between you and your parents.

Anyway, anyone care to share how you guys celebrated or intend to celebrate this day with your Dad?

It's a short post today! Many things to do. Go jogging, calculate my meagre income, prepare for the dinner, feed the dog etcetc. Plus I have less things to write due to the Night Golden Arrow. Actually I do have thigns to write. But maybe today is just not the day. HAHA. I am ironic, or ironicer. LOL

Sour Grapes

*NEWSFLASH*

Singapore's Ministry of Defence has declared a three-day time-out (12-14 June) on all physical and endurance training activities in the army, navy and air force.

This follows the deaths of two servicemen within two days. 20-year-old Officer Cadet (OCT) Lam Jia Hao Clifton, a pilot trainee with the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF), died on Wednesday, one-and-a-half hours after he collapsed while he was undergoing jungle orientation training in Brunei.

A day earlier, 20-year-old army recruit Andrew Cheah Wei Siong died after he fainted while taking part in a two-kilometre walk training activity on Pulau Tekong.

Defence Minister Teo Chee Hean said the time-out will allow the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) to review and re-focus on training activities to ensure that proper procedures are in place before training resumes. - CNA/ir

*NEWSFLASH*

Personally, I feel that there will always be fishes who can escape from the fishing nets. LOL Just like how Mas Selamat escaped from a detention centre. Nothing is perfect, right? The training methodology can be changed and refined numerous times but it certainly cannot cover for all people, for everybody has different physical weakness. Of course, changes have to be made and I can understand the feeling of the deceased's family members. But the presence of conscription has always and will always be a controversial issue, though we all know its presence is a must to deter aggressors. So, I really hope the family members can understand the dilemma the government is facing.

Anyway, booked out TODAY!!! Although I do that every other day. HAHA!

Have been watching videos of Jam Xiao on Youtube since I returned home. LOL All the way until now. HAHA. Some of the songs he sing is really very very very nice. Especiallyn the one he was competing with Lai Ming Wei for the Highest-Pitched voice. His ending attempt was so intriguing.

Back to topic. Was in mood today, so I went to cut my supposedly long hair and bought a big basket of crimson seedless grapes at Holland Village Cold Storage without even deciding if it will be nice. LOL It really feels good sometimes to do something without even weighing the consequences, just going with your heart. Oh yah. So the sign there wrote a price per 100grams. So after taking one basket of grapes, I was walking around searching for the non-existent weighing machine.

And I found a machine, really! It has a touch screen and a silver box by the side. I thought the weighing machines nowadays have became so advanced and I was just a step from putting my grapes on the silver box until I touched the screen and it showed me lists of recipes and cooking tips! -.- HOW CAN A WEIGHING MACHINE TEACH YOU RECIPES!?!? But there is seriously no machines around that produces the sticker showing the price!

So I decided to act dumb (live longer) and go to the cashier and try to pay money. HAHA! And it worked! Because the cashier's conveyor belt (something Peifang is buying for her Dad because she said the belt she bought for her Dad is not big enough!! AHAH!!) has a in-built weighing machine! RAHH!

COLD STORAGE GOT NO MORE STICKERS SHOWING PRICE!

Went home feeling like a sour grape then, as in not like the fox-didnt-eat-grape thing but the feeling went juice splurts out of a grape when you bite into it, just that the juice is SOUR.

So I continued to watch the videos like nobody's business while eating sweet grapes! There was one when Jam was invited to SPOP. That is one of the few rare times when I felt Quan Yi Feng didnt compere well enough. Jam Xiao was like even more awkward lah! The most hilarious video is the one below in 康熙来了.

Really a pity that I don't have that cable channel.

Still got videos where he was invited to shows like 棒棒糖 when those 棒棒糖 guys really cannot sing for nuts! I think they were disturbing Jam Xiao and the Youtube comments for them was really bad! The other funny one was when he was interviewed by 国光帮帮忙.

Until just now when I was bugging Tracy to tell me more about FASS de system. LOL. Now I need to start deciding what exposure modules I want to do and have high chance of being able to do well! Mentioning about university makes me think of Economics and reminded me that Credit Suisse estimated that inflation for June might reach 8.5%!!

Making plans for the future already Wei Hong! Well Done! No need clap. Crap. I still got 1.5 years to go. ZZzZZZzzzZZ

Maybe I should post the funny videos of Jam Xiao here! LOL. Beats you reading tonnes of words I have typed.

Amid My Busy Schedule...

(Now playing: 我爱的人-林宥嘉) takes a little while...

... I changed my blog song!! All thanks to the people (actually only IVY TAN) who wanted me to change away my Que Sara!

And because it was a English song previous, it shall be a chinese song this time! *dance the 'dance for chinese songs'* Interesting, the song that I managed to find on IWebMusic is of rather good quality!

And and I have already prepared a list of songs that will be coming up soon, just in case I get too lazy busy to find nice songs to put on blog! And the considerate me decreed that the song shall only be play once per page load!

Anyway, I was surrounded by PSPs yesterday in camp. At least 4. And Patapons are really making me consider buying one, considering I received my allowance today! Of course, I still need to keep in mind my goal of saving up enough for first year tuition fees plus lappy cost. Which I am estimating a hefty S$8000.00. I really need to redo my calculations and see how much I can set aside for such things. Then I decide again. Meanwhile, anybody who wants to buy PSP can contact me! Easier to haggle! FFEEEEVVVAAAA~~!!!!

OH YES! Before I forget all about it again. INEEDTOFINDPEOPLETOGIVETUITION!! Besides being able to moonlight, I can also refresh my ailing memory of my subjects. So please, contact me if you need help on the subjects you find yourself weak in or if you want to be ahead of your class.

PSLE

English
Chinese
Maths
Science

GCE O Level
Offering tuition for all levels in:

If you are interested, please contact me for further details. Not going to post too many stuff here on this. ANYWAY, I am giving priority to my fellow juniors who are sitting for their nationals this year. I am nice like the nicest thing on Earth. LOL. There is no offering to GCE A Levels people because I think I am currently incompetent to help at such a high level. At most I can help is maybe H1 Economics.

LOL. Plus I want to go for a vacation after army! I dun mind not going to familiar places such as Taiwan. But I mind not going to place such as Nepal, India and Turkey that are culturally RICH. HAHA. They offer something that I cannot find in Singapore lah. Things such as violence their local food, scenery etcetc. I must try to go for one after ORD in 2010! So please contribute to my vacation efforts! THANK YOU YOU!

I MUST DRAG PEOPLE ALONG WITH ME!! HAHA! Who want to go with me? WAH! So many people!! :) *I have been green-ed*

Lets just hope that there are nice shows tonight.

That was 2 months of inactivity!

HELLO MY BABES AND HUNKS! *WAVES*

BYEBYE!

HAHA! No lah no lah! I willl not end this entry until I have successfully painted my 2 months of interesting monotonous life! YAY :)

Anyway, I ended my last post with my posting and so I shall continue from there!

Ok. Come to think of it, days are really passing fast. I have already finished my 8-week course for IS Signallers at Stagmont Camp which I think I will save everyone the agony of reading the happenings.

Lets not fill this entry up with all the army stuff. Maybe I shall talk abt the trilemma that I went through during this period and I am sure there are other people out there who has or will go through the same phase as me.

University

Starting from late April, many of us in the platoon was starting to get anxious in whether the universities that they have applied to has accepted them or not. almost every other day you hear news of people getting acceptance letters and worse, if they got letters from the university that you have applied too. Of course, there are some academically outstanding ones who got a place in places like Imperial College, Columbia University etcetc which makes local university look so minute and mediocre.

I am very fortunate and humbled to be accepted by the 3 local university in Singapore with my not-very-fantastic-results as compared to many of my fellow platoon mates in Stagmont.

Initially, I applied for all the 3 universities without an aim because I have not much of a preference at that time. So I thought I can give myself more time to think through everything and then decide on a uni.

And there I go, with the advent of the acceptance deadline drawing near, I am still rather unsettled on one university. Partly because I still spent most of the time enjoying the remaining days in camp. Mainly because each university has its own merits and demerits.

Nonetheless, I have choosen to go SMU's School of Economics AND GRAB THAT SUMMA CUM LAUDE! WHEE~! Of course, I would most probably be quite lonely there because I have no friends going there! NVM. Its all about survivability! haha!

Master Plan for next 1.5 Army Years

Over these 2 months I have also drawn up plans to upgrade myself! but those are top secret plans which I shall keep it until it matures! HAHA! Alot of factors need to be considered like my future unit and financial status etcetc.
( NINCOMPOOP. Someone from my opposite block thought that I was peeping at them and they closed the window lah! )

Rants

Passed my signal course, of course. Accepted by all 3 local universities. Increased army allowance. New working environment. Oil price hike. No guard duty for the next 1.5 months. Worsening inflation. Reduced subsidies for petroleum in Asia. Dr Chee Soon Juan. Pedra Branca Singapore's. Chosen SMU School of Economics. Outing with BMT mates. Drinking with JC clique at Clarke Quay. Sichuan Earthquake. Missed Mother's Day with my mother. Canterbury Clearance Sale.

There are so many things that happened recently that makes me wanna laugh and cry. I guess everything will simmer down soon after I have convinced myself about my uni choice. It is always difficult to type an entry after a hiatus.

I WILL UPDATE REGULARLY.

Anyway, Happy June 2008 everybody!!!

Busy Week of AnyHow Art?!

HELLO GUYS!

Advertorial

The Chinese Dance Artistes' Association (CDAA)

proudly presents

Dancing in Unity 鹤舞共鸣 2008

What comes to your mind when you hear 'chinese dance'? Old-fashioned music? Long sleeves? or something you wouldn't even dare to think of? Once in a while, everybody needs to have a paradigm shift in your sterotype of chinese dance. Now, CDAA no longer only produces works to do with chinese dance only. As we try to retain our values of the chinese culture, we also look for ways to improve ourselves and fuse chinese dance techniques into other dance genres. Though the programme lineup is still unconfirmed, I personally think that Dancing in Unity has not failed to impress its audience each time CDAA organises it.

15 March 2008 (Saturday), 8 pm
Victoria Theatre
Tickets at $10, $15, $20

Really glad that Any How Art? performance by CDAA ended off smoothly yesterday night! and my crew members must have been tired like some very tired people. LOL of course, we are happy that we have put in our 100% for the success of the event and we will live without guilt and regret. We fought against the weather with chilli, space with sheer hardwork, roads with barefoots, money with white piece of paper, failure with precious time. And this makes me happy, because Anyhow Art? is again successful. Personally I think that AnyHow Art? is a daring production because it is right smacked in the monsoon season and the event is an outdoor one. Brushing aside the fact that there were no profits like most other art performances, there was a larger crowd this year and a better coordination by my crew of course. Though we did encounter some unhappy things and I was guilty for indirectly causing Benedict Loh Jia Da's injury yesterday, everything still went off rather smoothly.

So, I am really sorry Benehneh!

Oh Yah! I think it has been a long time since I went out with my JC classmates, so if you are seeing this, do inform me when u guys are going out!! Because you all might get your new jobs soon!

GAHH! Nothing really interesting to write for my NEW ADVERTISEMENT FROM NUFFNANG! Ivy you can consider the phone being advertised now! It will be showing from 9 December to 15 December so do visit here everyday!

I can smell lame posts coming up!

My Breakfast LAH!

Woke up dreamily today and realised that I was sleeping as if I was in my mother's womb that kind of position: I fell asleep deciding if I should tahan the tiredness and do Chemistry.

Walked like a zombie to take my specs, on heater, find clothes etcetc and i smelt something super FAMILIAR!! But knowing that I will take eons to prep myself up for the day, I just went on to washup. ANDANDAND I really saw that the rice cooker was on! So I thought I going to have buns again for breakfast!

After that pack up my super untidy table and guesssss what was causing the smell??

I went totally berserk after seeing MACDONALD'S on the dining table. It was the least expected breakfast to have lah!

BUT upon closer look.....

MY MAMA TOOK A BITE OUT OF MY HASHBROWN LAH! AGAIN!
