Good Rest Day.

Had a funny conversation with Jie Yim today when she is at work.

WH: anyway ur PSP how??

JY: no money this month again

JY: actually i not veri rich lor.

JY: my bill 150 my insurance 164. jiu buang liao leh

WH: ur salary only 314 dollars?

WH: tts less than mine

JY: -.-

HAHA! I was really giggling when I typed the reply. LOL

Today was really a nice day! Woke up terribly late at 1 plus, had the minimally required 12 hours of sleep as according to Dr Teow Eih Ong from University of Commonwealth Avenue. I guess he is really a talent to lead in the revolutionary paradigm shift!

Read the newspaper today and really thought that the Judge for Dave Teo's case is very grandfatherly. For your information, he recited a poem that I think he wrote himself while passing the sentence for Dave Teo, a poem that hoped he can forget about the past and look to the future and a new beginning. Most touching of all, he said his heart hurts for Dave Teo. WHERE on earth do you find a Judge so nice? In my memory of Hong Kong drama, judges always appear when the accused is goign to be sentenced to death.

If I am the Judge, I will feel so guilty after I passed the sentence even though I know it is already the best I could do for Dave Teo. It is really not an easy job, having to be the one who mete out the punishement. I guess it is really a moment of folly, resulting in 9 years 2 months of imprisonment and 18 strokes of cane.

Need to start getting busy later already! Pack room plus army barang. Go jogging. Tml still need to cut hair. Then maybe going NH.

Haiya, so many things and yet too little time to do it.

Anyway, saw my brother try out his academic gown yesterday lah! I also want to wear my pyjamas!! I really thought it looked like maternity pyjamas. But its one that I can only wear it years away. LOL. At least the academic gown for Social Sciences in NUS is quite nice.

To be truthful, I am a little intimidated by the mathematics in Economics when I saw it that day in Borders. Call me noob or what but I really got quite some catching up to do in mathematics. Alot of hope hangs on whether I can make it in Economics or not. Some of my future plans etcetc. BUT I BELIEVE EVERYTHING WILL BE ALRIGHT!!

In near future, I am going to back to Stagmont on the 10th of July, which is a Thursday cum Pay Day. POSTING POSTING POSTING = fate for the next 1.5 years!!

Alright, I spent so much time distracting myself while blogging already. Shall end my short short post here but stay and listen to the song alright!

Plus! I finished all 30 episodes of Bobby's show!

Sour Grapes

*NEWSFLASH*

Singapore's Ministry of Defence has declared a three-day time-out (12-14 June) on all physical and endurance training activities in the army, navy and air force.

This follows the deaths of two servicemen within two days. 20-year-old Officer Cadet (OCT) Lam Jia Hao Clifton, a pilot trainee with the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF), died on Wednesday, one-and-a-half hours after he collapsed while he was undergoing jungle orientation training in Brunei.

A day earlier, 20-year-old army recruit Andrew Cheah Wei Siong died after he fainted while taking part in a two-kilometre walk training activity on Pulau Tekong.

Defence Minister Teo Chee Hean said the time-out will allow the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) to review and re-focus on training activities to ensure that proper procedures are in place before training resumes. - CNA/ir

*NEWSFLASH*

Personally, I feel that there will always be fishes who can escape from the fishing nets. LOL Just like how Mas Selamat escaped from a detention centre. Nothing is perfect, right? The training methodology can be changed and refined numerous times but it certainly cannot cover for all people, for everybody has different physical weakness. Of course, changes have to be made and I can understand the feeling of the deceased's family members. But the presence of conscription has always and will always be a controversial issue, though we all know its presence is a must to deter aggressors. So, I really hope the family members can understand the dilemma the government is facing.

Anyway, booked out TODAY!!! Although I do that every other day. HAHA!

Have been watching videos of Jam Xiao on Youtube since I returned home. LOL All the way until now. HAHA. Some of the songs he sing is really very very very nice. Especiallyn the one he was competing with Lai Ming Wei for the Highest-Pitched voice. His ending attempt was so intriguing.

Back to topic. Was in mood today, so I went to cut my supposedly long hair and bought a big basket of crimson seedless grapes at Holland Village Cold Storage without even deciding if it will be nice. LOL It really feels good sometimes to do something without even weighing the consequences, just going with your heart. Oh yah. So the sign there wrote a price per 100grams. So after taking one basket of grapes, I was walking around searching for the non-existent weighing machine.

And I found a machine, really! It has a touch screen and a silver box by the side. I thought the weighing machines nowadays have became so advanced and I was just a step from putting my grapes on the silver box until I touched the screen and it showed me lists of recipes and cooking tips! -.- HOW CAN A WEIGHING MACHINE TEACH YOU RECIPES!?!? But there is seriously no machines around that produces the sticker showing the price!

So I decided to act dumb (live longer) and go to the cashier and try to pay money. HAHA! And it worked! Because the cashier's conveyor belt (something Peifang is buying for her Dad because she said the belt she bought for her Dad is not big enough!! AHAH!!) has a in-built weighing machine! RAHH!

COLD STORAGE GOT NO MORE STICKERS SHOWING PRICE!

Went home feeling like a sour grape then, as in not like the fox-didnt-eat-grape thing but the feeling went juice splurts out of a grape when you bite into it, just that the juice is SOUR.

So I continued to watch the videos like nobody's business while eating sweet grapes! There was one when Jam was invited to SPOP. That is one of the few rare times when I felt Quan Yi Feng didnt compere well enough. Jam Xiao was like even more awkward lah! The most hilarious video is the one below in 康熙来了.

Really a pity that I don't have that cable channel.

Still got videos where he was invited to shows like 棒棒糖 when those 棒棒糖 guys really cannot sing for nuts! I think they were disturbing Jam Xiao and the Youtube comments for them was really bad! The other funny one was when he was interviewed by 国光帮帮忙.

Until just now when I was bugging Tracy to tell me more about FASS de system. LOL. Now I need to start deciding what exposure modules I want to do and have high chance of being able to do well! Mentioning about university makes me think of Economics and reminded me that Credit Suisse estimated that inflation for June might reach 8.5%!!

Making plans for the future already Wei Hong! Well Done! No need clap. Crap. I still got 1.5 years to go. ZZzZZZzzzZZ

Maybe I should post the funny videos of Jam Xiao here! LOL. Beats you reading tonnes of words I have typed.

Enough for today. Farewell my people. I will miss you all. (See, I didn't use commonly used word like Bye because my blog is going INTERNASIONAL, sia lah!, with visitors from US, Turkey, Germany, Russia. High standards. HAHA)

THANK YOU. YOU. HAHA!

Time of The Golden Arrows

HELLO EVERYBODY!

Had exceptionally more things to do yesterday in camp because people are practising how to use their bow and arrows. So I got some injury and more are expected on the way.

BUT BUT I got to say the experience of going out is rather enriching. At least I got to talk with people in depth and realised that there are people who still favours minimum wage policy although it wil be detrimental. Maybe he doesn't realise about the bad side (backside, HAHA!) of the minimum wage policy. HmM. Talked alot of rubbish together. Like the petrol ban because my friend there rides a motorbike, why is there a difference in development of Singapore and Malaysia, if foreigners led to less jobs for locals etcetc. Although he is a Malay himself, there wasn't any element of racism and we were truthful with what we felt. I call this constructive exchange. LOL

Anyway, was hyper tired on the way home but today I got a hyper nice Bus Captain!! And it really made the day. He may be bald, but he greets everyone who board the bus and checks the aircon every now and then to make sure we are feeling comfy. Some aunties who are going to the markets seem to know him very well! It is SMRT's good fortune to have such good employee, although I still detest their furry seats. Traps dust that can fill up one Krusty Crab.

Took MRT from CCK to my house. I really felt that no matter how developed Singapore is, how good our education system is etcetc, we cannot deny the fact that we still face the problem of juvenile delinquents. There was this trio on the same pole as me, talking about how they hate people staring at them because of their outlandish hairstyle and how their friend got into hospital because he got hacked by a parang toh, with a sense of accomplishment! LOL. My point is, Singapore faces declining birth rate (not sure about now), so every child born is becoming increasing valuable to the country as the people is the asset.

LOL this is getting so serious. HAHA!

Let me post something random then~!

Professor Parkash Chander

National University of Singapore, Head of Department of Economics

And seriously, I did not choose NUS in the end because of somebody. I find it rather nonsensical. 'Nuff said. Some jokes should be thrown away after its expiry date.

Now, my brother juat came along and asked which university I chose. And he was surprised that I chose NUS. Only now then he tell me he felt NUS is the weakest among the 3 universities. And he didn't want to say that when I asked for opinions so long ago. There is just this consensus among my family members this time round. I think they have agreed to let me choose whatever I want so all of them refrained from giving their opinions on choices. Now that I have chosen, he ask me why I choose the weakest. I rather he tell me from the start where he thinks I should go. And not to always give a half-hearted answer whenever I asked for opinions. Part of the reason I chose NUS is the fees, half of which he will be paying.

This really wrecked the day, although it is ending.

If I make a wrong decision, it will be entirely my fault, period. Because my sister, my brother and his girlfriend have already told me they felt NUS is not good for its economics. And I still chose it, albeit at the very last moment. Perhaps their perception of what I am going to do in future is different from what I had in mind.

Most often, encouragement doesn't come when you need it the most.

OPTIMISM!!!

HAHA!

No more SMU!! At the very very very last minute, I changed my mind and chosen NUS's FASS. A rather unexplainable process to what led me to change my mind, but there is seriously no convincing and compelling reasons to choose SMU.

So NUS it shall be.

Now, I have many many many good friends in the same faculty as me! Much more things for me to look forward to.

Anyway, met up with JC clique then dancers and chit chat all the way to 2230 at orchard. The feeling is really good. Catching up either through BBQ-ing at Seoul Garden or through a cuppa at a kopi chain. Enjoying life at our age does not necessarily mean going havoc. Having a good chat with nice food can also make our day.

Next time when I enter the workforce, I guess I will treasure this kind of chats even more than ever. Everybody who are working seems to be so busy to a point where they have totally no time for themselves. Just imagine, 9 to 5, everyday.

Thats why I must learn to treasure my everyday now!

My JC clique have 3 doing accountancy, 2 including me doing ECONOMICS, 1 maybe doing medicine, 2 doing chem, 1 doing Bio Sci and 1 doing Maths Sci. The group that I had kopi with on Sat have 1 doing Accountancy, 1 doing psychology, 1 doing Soc Sci.

Everyone is going to be busy doing what they prefer. WHERE GOT TIME TO MEET?

HAIYA. Enough of the sad pessimistic outlook.

Anyway, people should be happy. For me, I have a university place = can be more certain about my future. For the others, I gave up 2 other places for them.

Short entry today! Maybe I can continue with my BMT story soon. HAHA!

If you are feeling a bit bored, go to the Mr Brown Show and see the Pedra Branca podcast!
