Good Rest Day.

Had a funny conversation with Jie Yim today when she is at work.

WH: anyway ur PSP how??

JY: no money this month again

JY: actually i not veri rich lor.

JY: my bill 150 my insurance 164. jiu buang liao leh

WH: ur salary only 314 dollars?

WH: tts less than mine

JY: -.-

HAHA! I was really giggling when I typed the reply. LOL

Today was really a nice day! Woke up terribly late at 1 plus, had the minimally required 12 hours of sleep as according to Dr Teow Eih Ong from University of Commonwealth Avenue. I guess he is really a talent to lead in the revolutionary paradigm shift!

Read the newspaper today and really thought that the Judge for Dave Teo's case is very grandfatherly. For your information, he recited a poem that I think he wrote himself while passing the sentence for Dave Teo, a poem that hoped he can forget about the past and look to the future and a new beginning. Most touching of all, he said his heart hurts for Dave Teo. WHERE on earth do you find a Judge so nice? In my memory of Hong Kong drama, judges always appear when the accused is goign to be sentenced to death.

If I am the Judge, I will feel so guilty after I passed the sentence even though I know it is already the best I could do for Dave Teo. It is really not an easy job, having to be the one who mete out the punishement. I guess it is really a moment of folly, resulting in 9 years 2 months of imprisonment and 18 strokes of cane.

Need to start getting busy later already! Pack room plus army barang. Go jogging. Tml still need to cut hair. Then maybe going NH.

Haiya, so many things and yet too little time to do it.

Anyway, saw my brother try out his academic gown yesterday lah! I also want to wear my pyjamas!! I really thought it looked like maternity pyjamas. But its one that I can only wear it years away. LOL. At least the academic gown for Social Sciences in NUS is quite nice.

To be truthful, I am a little intimidated by the mathematics in Economics when I saw it that day in Borders. Call me noob or what but I really got quite some catching up to do in mathematics. Alot of hope hangs on whether I can make it in Economics or not. Some of my future plans etcetc. BUT I BELIEVE EVERYTHING WILL BE ALRIGHT!!

In near future, I am going to back to Stagmont on the 10th of July, which is a Thursday cum Pay Day. POSTING POSTING POSTING = fate for the next 1.5 years!!

Alright, I spent so much time distracting myself while blogging already. Shall end my short short post here but stay and listen to the song alright!

Plus! I finished all 30 episodes of Bobby's show!

Spiderman!!

YEA!!

The Spiderman craze is really back!! Or at least for me. HAHA!

I must really enjoy those shows on my PSP tml when I am back in camp, provided that I don't get any rubbish. People there are getting sick and tired of the norms already, just as everything is going to end soon. Bad omen.

Anyway, below is the lyrics for the original 1967 Spiderman TV cartoon series!

Spider-Man, Spider-Man, does whatever a spider can!
Spins a web any size, catches thieves just like flies!
Look out! Here comes the Spider-Man!

Is he strong? Listen, bud, he's got radioactive blood!
Can he swing from a thread? Take a look overhead!
Hey there! There goes the Spider-Man!

In the chill of night, at the scene of the crime
Like a streak of light, he arrives just in time!

Spider-Man, Spider-Man, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man!
Wealth and fame he's ignored, action is his reward!

To him, life is a great big bang-up!
Wherever there's a hang-up, you'll find the Spider-Man!!!

HAHA! I think except for the first verse, the rest are pretty childish. LOL But I think it is really nice to be able to take a look at what filled our childhood days. We are all young people!

Anyway, went out with Esther, Jan and Koon Hui just now. Roamed around at Vivocity and going out with people, especially Koon Hui who induces a spending disease. I really wonder how much we spent tonight just on eating!

Darn tired.

But recently, either in camp or just now, I was on an exuberant mood. Irrational exuberance I should say! It really feels good! *does the M1 advertisement action*

LOL I am really addicted to that action already. Because the advertisement is plain stupid, it is catchy especially with the 3 good-for-nothings + 1 fat boss.

And how come I haven't eat any durians this durian season!! I see durian every other day when I book out from camp and yet I have not eaten any!

OK, random. HAHA!

Oh yes, I need to change my blog song before the girls come back from Taiwan. Monday it shall be!

And Sleep I really need!

And and I shall hug my dog to sleep tonight! Long time no 1x good hug!

Till then~! (See, trademarks of a blog with international standards. We don't use byebye)

*NEWSFLASH*

Mrs Lee Kuan Yew has suffered another massive haemorrhage while in hospital.

A statement from Minister Mentor's Office said on Tuesday she is critically ill, with guarded prognosis for recovery.

Mrs Lee, 87, has been at Tan Tock Seng Hospital since May 12 after suffering a stroke, and has been under close observation. - CNA/ac

*NEWSFLASH*

Really, get well soon. There has been many cases of husbands, who are deeply attached to their spouse, dying right after their wife left the world.

Anyway, didn't post any entry the day before because I was busy with people. HAHA!

Rushed out from home to Changi Airport to send the few girls to Taiwan with my mother nagging that this kind of thing is not important because they are going for vacation. LOL Ate Popeye there but I think the taste has changed a bit somehow.

After that met up with Esther and Koonhui at City Hall MRT. LOL Talked about alot of rubbish. Mainly problem solving. Then Esther left for house warming and it was Koonhui and me!

We just kept walking and talking and sometimes eating. But I wonder how much had he absorbed.

Today is totally slacking at home.

I gues our next outing is with Jan when she finishes her mid years with a bang. Yes, a bang. Because I think she will bang her head against the wall when she receives her results. HAHA!

Shall post something more interesting next time. Because the weather is so freaking warm, nothing is coming out from my brain. Even if something is coming out, it has melted already.

People, please stop global warming.

New Entertainment!

I know I know! I didn't blog on the last time I booked out from camp! But I should be pardoned because I was out on a mission! LOL

Everything went like this. I suggested to Richard (BMT goody friend) that we should go sun tanning because the sun was simply fabulous at that time when I called him. And he, being the lazy bum, refused to face the sun like some vampire. LOL And he also didn't want to go to Queensway SC because its too far. I thought there was no place in Singapore that is near for him.

So we met in Wheelock Borders. He really looked pissed because I 'caused' him to wake up too early. -.- BUT the main mission for the day is to source for a PSP! Haha! And so we were in Far East because I had unreliable sources saying that there is a shop that sells PSP at a lower price.

We really met all sorts of shopkeepers there.

From old Ah Beng who self proclaim that all this stuff are real to ah peks who talk with his hand half covering his mouth and seemed to treat us as non-existent. This is what I call desensitised uncles. Someone who answers so many queries everyday but yet none bought anything from him.

We learned how to spot real and fake Sony Memory sticks (4Gb)!! By using your naked eye, the words on the true blue original Sony memory card will look greyish and less bright than the fake ones, on which the words are purely white in colour and bright. One thing is that the fonts and font size are the same!

If you are using a PSP, you can go to check the memory card information. Real Sony ones will have Magic Gate supported while fakes do not support Magic Gate, although I don't know what that is. Can it be eaten?? ZzzZZZzz

One thing to take note, fake Sony memory cards cracks and breaks easily. Really easily. Especially at the comb-like part. Somemore, even fakes have difference in quality. Some fakes are better than some. Ironic!

Anyway, back to the story.

So in then end, we went to a ulu shop and found what we want! We really spent alot of time in Far East because of indecisiveness! LOL.

And today, stupid Richard don't even want to reply my sms on whether we are going out today! I think he is just scared that I will drag him to Sentosa! HAHA!

*NEWSFLASH*

If KY/PF/IVY/YS is reading this, please be informed that there is a high possibility that I might not be able to meet you all while you guys are on the way to the airport because my newest state-of-the-art Golden Arrow Sensors sensed that I will fall victim to Golden Arrows on Saturday.

If so, there might be a chance that I might not even be able to make it to the airport by 1215 on Sunday. It all depends on luck then!

No matter what, I will inform you guys again on Saturday.

*NEWSFLASH*

And today, I have spent some time zhng-ing the PSP version. LOL and watching all-time favourite Bobby Ouyong's Forensic Scientist 2. And doing all the things that I need to do, like blogging!

Oh yes. The stupidest thing happened this morning. Samaritan Teo was half dragging and half carrying the 3 bags of rubbish and 1 ration bag for about 100m. When he is left with 25 more metres to go, a bag of rubbish broke open. And very very unfortunately, that bag contains nothing but Me Tai Mak(老鼠粉). Lots of it. So there was a unsightly picturesque trail of Mak on the road. I really tried to pick big chunks of it up already!

I wonder if I will get into trouble tml. Maybe they might ask me to eat up all the leftover food in future so that there wouldn't be anymore such incidents in future. LOL JOKING LAH. Those people are so nice, I hope.

WAIT. KEEP STILL THERE!

I just heard 4 gunshot-like audio signals. I hope they are not culling anymore crows in my area again. The last time they did it, a dead crow fell onto the back ofmy Dad's lorry. The sight was unsightly.

Time for me to continue with more entertainment!

Ask me for the links to watch it online!

It Was A Black Friday!!

Fridays the 13th have never been a bad day for me, at least in contrast to what everyone say.

There was no spoilt doorlocks, no banana peels for me to step on outside my house, no dead rats/birds on the to camp, no traffic jams, no vehicle breakdown, I didn't forget to bring camp pass, I didn't kena any bird shit. None of that sort.

AND someone else got the morning Golden Arrow.

I was a happy man!

But somehow, the day felt weird. It was warmer than usual in the afternoon, my head felt a bit giddy a bit headache-y. I really wondered why.

Checked my phone. A missed call from the Golden Bow. Within half an hour, I realised that I kena the Night Golden Arrow.

What pisses me off is that there are people who have not done their share and yet the cycle is deemed completed and it was my turn again!

I really lost my source of optimism yesterday until night time.

At least for the past half year, I have managed to tell myself to look at things in different perspectives and savour the benefits that is hidden. Yesterday really made me feel like being demented. LOL like many dementors flying past me.

So there goes my first bad Black Friday.

Anyway, one happy thing to look forward to: Dad's Day Celebration!

Finally one good day for my dad to relax a bit, though he still have to drive me to camp tml! HAHA! But he has always been the one organising celebrations for the -days during the year, until a point when we might panic a little on how to celebration his day. HAHA!

I hope the dinner is a night one.

Have you not planned for a Dad's Day celebration?

Recently, I took a good look at my parents and really looked closely. I really felt that that have grown older, more wrinkles, more white hair. Take a good look at your parents and spot the differences. It makes you want to provide them with a good life in future, no matter what has happened between you and your parents.

Anyway, anyone care to share how you guys celebrated or intend to celebrate this day with your Dad?

It's a short post today! Many things to do. Go jogging, calculate my meagre income, prepare for the dinner, feed the dog etcetc. Plus I have less things to write due to the Night Golden Arrow. Actually I do have thigns to write. But maybe today is just not the day. HAHA. I am ironic, or ironicer. LOL

Time of The Golden Arrows

HELLO EVERYBODY!

Had exceptionally more things to do yesterday in camp because people are practising how to use their bow and arrows. So I got some injury and more are expected on the way.

BUT BUT I got to say the experience of going out is rather enriching. At least I got to talk with people in depth and realised that there are people who still favours minimum wage policy although it wil be detrimental. Maybe he doesn't realise about the bad side (backside, HAHA!) of the minimum wage policy. HmM. Talked alot of rubbish together. Like the petrol ban because my friend there rides a motorbike, why is there a difference in development of Singapore and Malaysia, if foreigners led to less jobs for locals etcetc. Although he is a Malay himself, there wasn't any element of racism and we were truthful with what we felt. I call this constructive exchange. LOL

Anyway, was hyper tired on the way home but today I got a hyper nice Bus Captain!! And it really made the day. He may be bald, but he greets everyone who board the bus and checks the aircon every now and then to make sure we are feeling comfy. Some aunties who are going to the markets seem to know him very well! It is SMRT's good fortune to have such good employee, although I still detest their furry seats. Traps dust that can fill up one Krusty Crab.

Took MRT from CCK to my house. I really felt that no matter how developed Singapore is, how good our education system is etcetc, we cannot deny the fact that we still face the problem of juvenile delinquents. There was this trio on the same pole as me, talking about how they hate people staring at them because of their outlandish hairstyle and how their friend got into hospital because he got hacked by a parang toh, with a sense of accomplishment! LOL. My point is, Singapore faces declining birth rate (not sure about now), so every child born is becoming increasing valuable to the country as the people is the asset.

LOL this is getting so serious. HAHA!

Let me post something random then~!

Professor Parkash Chander

National University of Singapore, Head of Department of Economics

And seriously, I did not choose NUS in the end because of somebody. I find it rather nonsensical. 'Nuff said. Some jokes should be thrown away after its expiry date.

Now, my brother juat came along and asked which university I chose. And he was surprised that I chose NUS. Only now then he tell me he felt NUS is the weakest among the 3 universities. And he didn't want to say that when I asked for opinions so long ago. There is just this consensus among my family members this time round. I think they have agreed to let me choose whatever I want so all of them refrained from giving their opinions on choices. Now that I have chosen, he ask me why I choose the weakest. I rather he tell me from the start where he thinks I should go. And not to always give a half-hearted answer whenever I asked for opinions. Part of the reason I chose NUS is the fees, half of which he will be paying.

This really wrecked the day, although it is ending.

If I make a wrong decision, it will be entirely my fault, period. Because my sister, my brother and his girlfriend have already told me they felt NUS is not good for its economics. And I still chose it, albeit at the very last moment. Perhaps their perception of what I am going to do in future is different from what I had in mind.

Most often, encouragement doesn't come when you need it the most.

OPTIMISM!!!

HAHA!

No more SMU!! At the very very very last minute, I changed my mind and chosen NUS's FASS. A rather unexplainable process to what led me to change my mind, but there is seriously no convincing and compelling reasons to choose SMU.

So NUS it shall be.

Now, I have many many many good friends in the same faculty as me! Much more things for me to look forward to.

Anyway, met up with JC clique then dancers and chit chat all the way to 2230 at orchard. The feeling is really good. Catching up either through BBQ-ing at Seoul Garden or through a cuppa at a kopi chain. Enjoying life at our age does not necessarily mean going havoc. Having a good chat with nice food can also make our day.

Next time when I enter the workforce, I guess I will treasure this kind of chats even more than ever. Everybody who are working seems to be so busy to a point where they have totally no time for themselves. Just imagine, 9 to 5, everyday.

Thats why I must learn to treasure my everyday now!

My JC clique have 3 doing accountancy, 2 including me doing ECONOMICS, 1 maybe doing medicine, 2 doing chem, 1 doing Bio Sci and 1 doing Maths Sci. The group that I had kopi with on Sat have 1 doing Accountancy, 1 doing psychology, 1 doing Soc Sci.

Everyone is going to be busy doing what they prefer. WHERE GOT TIME TO MEET?

HAIYA. Enough of the sad pessimistic outlook.

Anyway, people should be happy. For me, I have a university place = can be more certain about my future. For the others, I gave up 2 other places for them.

Short entry today! Maybe I can continue with my BMT story soon. HAHA!

If you are feeling a bit bored, go to the Mr Brown Show and see the Pedra Branca podcast!

That was 2 months of inactivity!

HELLO MY BABES AND HUNKS! *WAVES*

BYEBYE!

HAHA! No lah no lah! I willl not end this entry until I have successfully painted my 2 months of interesting monotonous life! YAY :)

Anyway, I ended my last post with my posting and so I shall continue from there!

Ok. Come to think of it, days are really passing fast. I have already finished my 8-week course for IS Signallers at Stagmont Camp which I think I will save everyone the agony of reading the happenings.

Lets not fill this entry up with all the army stuff. Maybe I shall talk abt the trilemma that I went through during this period and I am sure there are other people out there who has or will go through the same phase as me.

University

Starting from late April, many of us in the platoon was starting to get anxious in whether the universities that they have applied to has accepted them or not. almost every other day you hear news of people getting acceptance letters and worse, if they got letters from the university that you have applied too. Of course, there are some academically outstanding ones who got a place in places like Imperial College, Columbia University etcetc which makes local university look so minute and mediocre.

I am very fortunate and humbled to be accepted by the 3 local university in Singapore with my not-very-fantastic-results as compared to many of my fellow platoon mates in Stagmont.

Initially, I applied for all the 3 universities without an aim because I have not much of a preference at that time. So I thought I can give myself more time to think through everything and then decide on a uni.

And there I go, with the advent of the acceptance deadline drawing near, I am still rather unsettled on one university. Partly because I still spent most of the time enjoying the remaining days in camp. Mainly because each university has its own merits and demerits.

Nonetheless, I have choosen to go SMU's School of Economics AND GRAB THAT SUMMA CUM LAUDE! WHEE~! Of course, I would most probably be quite lonely there because I have no friends going there! NVM. Its all about survivability! haha!

Master Plan for next 1.5 Army Years

Over these 2 months I have also drawn up plans to upgrade myself! but those are top secret plans which I shall keep it until it matures! HAHA! Alot of factors need to be considered like my future unit and financial status etcetc.
( NINCOMPOOP. Someone from my opposite block thought that I was peeping at them and they closed the window lah! )

Rants

Passed my signal course, of course. Accepted by all 3 local universities. Increased army allowance. New working environment. Oil price hike. No guard duty for the next 1.5 months. Worsening inflation. Reduced subsidies for petroleum in Asia. Dr Chee Soon Juan. Pedra Branca Singapore's. Chosen SMU School of Economics. Outing with BMT mates. Drinking with JC clique at Clarke Quay. Sichuan Earthquake. Missed Mother's Day with my mother. Canterbury Clearance Sale.

There are so many things that happened recently that makes me wanna laugh and cry. I guess everything will simmer down soon after I have convinced myself about my uni choice. It is always difficult to type an entry after a hiatus.

I WILL UPDATE REGULARLY.

Professor Roberto S. Mariano

Dean, Singapore Management University School of Economics

Anyway, Happy June 2008 everybody!!!

Castrate KASTARI!

Although I was still in Pulau Tekong (PT for short), it doesn't mean that I don't know that this spiderman escaped from the supposedly tightly secured Whitley Road.

So here I am doing my part to help. With a myriad of different possible identities he might assume, we will still be able to recognise him.

If the person you saw just now at the traffic light look at any of the faces above, call the Police at 999 immediately. Do not confront him unless you can give him a fatal head shot, unlikely. Keep track of his whereabouts for the convenience of the Police. Do not shout his name.

Counter-terrorist will win!

2 years down the road...

!!Speakers please!!

TADA!

I am back again to blog my remaining days before I enter NS!

I think I am like everybody ba, when you have alot of unfinished business before entering NS and I think I will be darn regretful! Though somethings are really beyond what I can do!

Of course, I am certainly looking forward to what life has to offer me yet again, which usually brings me nice surprises. But I am really afraid, not of the NS life, but of what I will miss out and what I cannot help to improve in.

Like for NHDS. Will they get more united? Can they withstand the test of troubled times? Are they self-sufficient in the journey to SYF? Will some long lost graduates come back and spoil the fragile balance? Will the school forsake dance? Will graduates cause disharmony? Personally, I have alot of wish for dance, many I know is seemingly impossible to achieve. But I believe each step forward is already a success itself.

Then ballet, the art that has given me the most problems up to now and I am still loving it. The common problem of losing the flexibility. And if I dont continue my exams, my teacher will have no class for me then! Unless she is willing to do private classes! I will miss my Ele and Inter exams with the class I am with now. How? Time would have forsaken me then!

I certainly dunwan to come out as stiff as a stick and can't dance anymore! Dreadful isn't it? I have seen many people suffering under the cruel Mr. NS! AHH!

How come I didn't mention DIY? Duh, because I am least worried about it. There are so many people in the troupe to make sure performance goes right and things go smoothly. Just like nobody is indispensable in the world, there are people ever ready to take over the gaping hole in the line of duties.

Of course, the nice surprise will be when I become Mr. Thin Teo!! WEEE~! Everything will comes easier. This is definitely dependent on my own diligence! I think only fat people like me will understand the feeling. haha!

Haiya! I am just being very worried about alot of things lah. Maybe my absence will let things become better! Whatever will be, will be!

The Most And The Best Of 2007!

Alright alright! NOW! It is the highly anticipated entry of the year 2007 when I do all the interesting summary! Its time of the year to sum everything up with some melancholic reminiscing! OH YAY!

Let us start in a new format. This year is the award presentation!

1st TuaBehGong Is Happening Awards (2007) begins now....

FIRST UP!

The Most Hilarious Mis-pronunciation: Political APATHY by Tng Ji Xiang

I wasn't really paying attention to the GP lesson this year when the incident happened. So apparently, I was like packing my bag or finishing some work from the other subjects during Ji Xiang's group's presentation when I suddenly heard a very out of the world pronunciation and I just burst out laughing! PRONOUNCE AFTER ME: Political APPE-TEE, not Political ARPAR-TEE. And he proclaimed that somebody taught him apathy is pronounced as ARPAR-TEE. HILARIOUS LAH!

The Best Job: Zi Char 煮炒 at JJC Chemistry Science Lab

YADA YADA. Because Pei Fang has been mentioning the incident so I felt it is worth mentioning! It was a windy day and I am all prepared to go into the room and get my highest yield of crystals ever in the term. With the supervision and pressure from Dr. Gan, I am quite confident that everything can go smoothly and BE THE YIELDER! LOL. BUTBUTBUT when I was approaching the last few steps in the experiment, I suddenly had a soft hand and tilted the 50ml beaker of distilled water onto the already sizzling HOT PLATE (I can fry an egg and cook meat on the plate). And so, when cool water meets sizzling hot plate, beads of the water swirled around the hot plate and gave off the sound of the job mentioned above.

And Dr. Gan Kim Suan exclaimed: WAH! Who is cooking Zi Char there? WEI HONG HUH!

*guilty look*

The Most Panicky Moment: Breaking a tray of Chemistry lab wares before SPA starts.

Seems like most bad luck happens in the Lab eh? This goes simple. We were taught from young that when we are about to have an examination or SPA in this case, it is important to set the table well and things like that. Being the natural good boy, I tried to arrange all the apparatus properly on the bench table and kick off a good start like everyone. Then, I saw the tubing for the Bunsen Burner is totally blocking the table in my way and was an eyesore, so I decided to change it because fate is controlled by my own hands isn't it? I was already aware that I might knock down the whole tray of apparatus into the sink, so I tug at the tubing gently and caringly knowing that I will hurt it if I am too rough. LOL tug tug tug TUG! The release of the tubing from the protruding metal piece is so great that my hand flew too far and hit the tray and WAH LAH. Broke almost everything in the tray and this one incident has the amount of breakage more than everyone's add together in the 2 years. Goodness gracious me. Dr. Gan was totally out of the world that day too.

She walked to me, said never mind and asked me to change a bench and I didn't have to pay a single cent for all the breakages. COOL!

The Most Disappointing Performance Watched: NDP Show Segment @ Marina

Unsuitable music, poor cameramen, same standard of performance, and the conceptualising of the entire Show Segment can be done more detailed lah. I am jus a little disappointed lor.

The Most Creative Performance Watched: Anyhow Art? By CDAA @ People's Association, Kallang

The Best Performances Watched: Singapore Youth Festival 2007 (Dance)

As usual. I find the strength and grit from the people OF ABOUT MY AGE very inspiring. They enter secondary school innocently, fall into love with dance, endure the hardship during the days practising dance, practise for SYF, get nervous for SYF, put in their everything into that 5 mins on stage, cry over the results, fall into a deeper love with dance.

The Best Backstage Work Done: Anyhow Art? By CDAA @ People's Association

What can I say? Didn't really expect myself to hand myself into such a role actually. Enjoyed the time using the walkie talkie and all. Most of all, I got to know my juniors like Benedict and Liang Yuan which is precious chance. Interesting experience lah. really.

The Most Enjoyable Examination: CSTD Sub - Elementary Ballet Exams

The pure interest in Ballet makes everything more enjoyable ba. HAHA. Although results fall short of expectation. zzz. The barre is my home, now.

The Most Neck-Breaking Movie Watched: Pirates of the Caribbean - At World's End

First time in my life I got to sit in the front row in Golden Village - Plaza Singapura. I was almost at the end of my world.

The Best Snubbed Moment: Rejection By Ms Lai Peck Chai

GAHH! No Econs Relief work. Dreams dashed. DAMMIT.

The Best Hawker Cuisine: Tanglin Halt Western Food @ Clementi Hawker Centre

The Best Snack Eaten: Cream Puffs by Beard Papa

The Best Hotel Food Eaten: The Amara Sanctuary @ Sentosa

Because I have only went to one hotel/resort this year, which is Amara.

The Best Canteen Food Eaten: Western Stall @ Nan Hua High School

The Most Disgusted Moment: Molestation by Old Gays

No need for further explanation. The experience is chilling.

The Most Amazing Moment: 7 Person Alliance Thrashed By Wong Jian Wei in Monopoly @ Settlers' Cafe

I can't believe it.

YAYAY! IT IS THE MOST EXCITING SEGMENT!! PHOTO AWARDS!

The Best Edited Photo: Mao Ze Dong With Mr. Steven Koh

The Best Original Candid Photo: Skiving on Train Starring Goh Koon Hui aka Young Young

The Best Original Artistic Photo: Xiao Man Tou Trove

The Best Original Animal Photo: Gatsby Model Takuya KimuNUT Starring Peanut!

The Best Original Natural Photo: Troubled Biologist Starring Mdm Goh Hwee Kwan

The Best Original Close-up Photo: TAN KIM YEIN on Bus Starring Tan Kim Yein

She is so going to kill me.

The Best Deforestation Evidence: Saving Earth Starts in College!

The Most Calm Laggy Person Met: Mr. Benedict Loh Jia Da

The person involved is the guy on the left. On the right is Shana the HP!!

The Most Charismatic Guy Award: Darling Junhe Starring my brother Junhe

Yep. He wanted an award that involves him being cute and shuai. Haha! So I just can't be bothered and name the award Charismatic. LOL Same the person involved is the guy on the left too! In the end got to post 2 pics of him to make the criteria. Count yourself lucky didi!

THE END!!! If you guys got anything to remind me regarding any interesting incidents that I was present, please feel free to tag and inform me!!

AND. New Year, New Hope, New Beginning, New Chances, NEW!

ALL THE BEST EVERYONE!

That 42km!

I just came back from the Sec 4 dancers' 3D2N chalet and I really LOVED IT! Let me try to recall all the details and fun stuff, though I am sorry to say that there is a total lack of photos. Didn't really figured out the reason why nobody brought a camera along. LOL.

Day 1 - 26/12/2007

Meet Andrew, Chee Yew, Junhe at Clementi Central to buy the 'equipment' (according to my distant relative) for the BBQ at night in the afternoon. I was late again and Junhe was nice enough not to play arcade with Andrew and Chee Yew to wait for me at the bus stop for me! Walked to NTUC to get the BBQ equipment then Andrew said White Sands NTUC also sell the same stuff so its more sensible to get the things there so we dun have to lug things there. We wanted lunch so we settle for the cheaper hawker! No Tanglin Halt, so I settled for famous porridge stall which I believe the standard is dropping. Less tastier, longer waiting time. Andrew ate pig trotters, Chee Yew ate something that I forgot and Junhe ate chicken rice like yet again! Junhe and I were totally pissed by the dumb sugarcane stall prostitue-lookalike AUNTIE because she didn't tell us beforehand that adding lemon cost the same for students! Freaking 20 cents! Brought my Bata slippers and got onto train. Onwards to Pasir Ris! (We were running late)

Chat alot and explored Junhe's iPod Touch. Shana smsed me went we were reaching Pasir Ris and we only realised we were all on the same train then! Met up with many Sec 4 dancers like Mafia Sister GraceFUL (my another distant relative), Meiting, Audrey, Jeanette, Jeslyn, Yinghui, Weng Mann, Xing Yue. They went to get the chalet keys first while we get our BBQ equipment. Found the NTUC in the basement and we frantically looking for items with the Housebrand sign coz we get a freaking 5% discount which make things cheaper. I was like wondering why we buy new BBQ equipement stuff coz I think there should be people with these stuff already. Then Junhe told me we can leave it for the next user of the BBQ pit. I thought if everyone in singapore practises this habit then we can save money for ourselves and others!

Reached the chalet and got to know what Junhe looks out for in his 'dream' girlfriend! Poker was already hot in action by the time we got there and we immediately got down to our Mahjong action too! (I offered my mahjong, Andrew and Chee Yew lug it there :D). Stupid Junhe who claims he suck at Mahjong won like 4 times in a row (partly thanks to Andrew who kept feeding tiles) and our Northern Wind never ended in the end. Felt guilty about not helping out in the BBQ downstairs and so I went down to help out with the food. I FORGOT TO WASH HAND! Perhaps that's why Junhe got active bowels at night. Played alot of poker games such as Dai dee, Bridge and Cheat. I totally sucked at Cheat because I can;t help but to giggle laugh whenver I put down a card. LOL! Junhe brought along his Good Luck Chuck DVD because we thought we will be going over to Chee Yew's for the 2nd overnight. In the end the girls realised about the DVD and wanted to watch the DVD. Its R21 with sex scenes, dammit. How to watch with the girls. In the end we still watched the DVD because the girls know there will be sex scenes and still dun mind watching. Watched the DVD with the sex scenes on the Monkey Bar and on the bed fast-forwarded to save the embarrassment. I think that R21 movies have a lousy story line somehow. Actually Good Luck Chuck can be made into a good movie by removing the sex scenes and making the touching parts more pronounced.

Many slept for the remaining few hours except for Junhe because he have his dance practice at NJC later and he dunwan to miss the good times while Chee Yew and I went to find the MIA people. Turned out that Grace, Meiting and Yu Jie were having their own Poker session at a pavilion and we chatted with them. By coincidence, Cheew Yew and Meiting kept becoming partners in Bridge while GraceFUL paired with Octopi Yu Jie. I almost fell asleep on the bench when Junhe and some other sec 4 guys passed by to go Mac for some breakfast before Junhe leaves for NJC and he looked so darn unwilling lah! TOo bad he is already tied down by the DSA contract so he got to commit.

Day 2 - 27/12/2007

The 5 of us too ended the poker game soon after and we went to Mac for breakfast too! Was really considering going to NJ again with Junhe since he will be alone on the trip there. In the end didn't go with my relative because of an unknown reason. I think I was tired enough to not think straight. My mind was like thinking about Junhe, Mac breakfast, sleeping at NJ, etcetc. SO I am really sorry Junhe for not accompanying you!

Went back to Chalet and sent Junhe a sms full of 'dun oversleep's. At least it managed to keep Junhe awake for some time and he didn't oversleep! Those in the chalet tried to get some sleep to utilise the money paid for the room. We discussed about staying for the 2nd night but dumb Downtown East and even the Alohas are fully booked! In the end settled for Island Resort at East Coast Park, the successor of Costa Sand. Before we get to Island Resort, we indulged in Escape! Tickets were much cheaper at 7 bucks because of the accident in Panasonic ride. The first ride was the turning thing which I can't remember the name but it was exceptionally short. 2nd ride was rainbow. The view from the top was as good as ever. Then common sense went wrong and we played the Wet & Wild game next. Got totally drenched and was crowned the Wettest Guy there. Everyone else except Chee Yew, Jeanette and me played the Inverter. The Guys then tried to play the Go Cart but the waiting time is like an hour so we ended up getting hooked with the Family Coaster thing. A mini roller coaster but I think the feeling was as fun! Played the Carnival Racing Game and got 2 Octopus as prize. LOL I thought it was a total scam though. We left Escape and illegally sold all our complimentary tickets at 6 dollars! An entrepreneurial idea by GraceFUL!

Met Junhe again at Bedok MRT and he was a little pissed becasue he had to wait 20 mins to us to reach there! Lunched at Bedok Hawker and everybody was already tired and getting more irritable in their tone! Some left and the rest continued our day at Island Resort! Everyone immediately fell into lalaland while Junhe and I chatted about alot of lame things until the rest were starting to wake up for washup and dinner! Dined at Subway and rented bikes. Chu Harn and Chee Yew were complaining how expensive and unfilling Subway is. Its really once in a while that we will dine at Subway so forget it ok! Quickly returned to the chalet room because some wanted to watch The Golden Road on Channel 8. Left the Chalet at 10pm and we prepared for the night-blasting 42km bicycle ride through the new Park Connector Network (PCN). Junhe and I were already hyped up with the thought of being able to see transvestites real life! We began the ride at 1030 pm and not much idea of what to expect from the trip.

We crossed the underpass to the opposite side of the Expressway and found the first Park Connector. We dunno travelled how many Park Connectors and kilometers to reach the first 'Pitstop' at Bedok Reservoir. The trip was hard impressionable to write down details here. Only remembered I saw words like Bedok, Siglap, Tampines, Pasir Ris along the way. Sang like nobody's business becasue we were so into Bei Pan, Xing Bu Liao Qing and Goodbye, My Love. Ran into problems with the erratic PCN instructions after arriving at Pasir Ris because we lost the arrow which shows the directions to go. Trial and errored a few times before we reached Changi Village and the PCN Line was broken badly at Changi area because we see no path along the chalets there! reached Changi Village at about 3.40 plus 4 and we saw a transvestite immediately! Chee Yew didn't get a good look and kept looking back. Missed the opening to the Hawker centre and stopped at a junction. Then, Chee Yew's horror came alive when a cab full of transvestites stopped beside us and the ladies were like doing alot of slutty actions which traumatised Chee Yew until he lost his appetite.

Everyone was already feeling darn tired and hungry with a painful butt that tempers are all rising! Settled for Indian cuisine and left at 4 plus. Continued on the PCN which led us to the back of the Singapore International Changi Airport which was busy even at the night. Our butts were even more painful after the break and we all wished we could teleport back to the chalet.

Then Si Ian. LOL!

Day 3 - 28/12/2007

FINALLY!

We completed the freaking butt-smashing 42km bicycle ride! A total sense of accomplishment and tiredness and the feeling was very good! The feeling of doing something with your good friends rocks socks!

We reached at 6 and I saw the news about Benazir Bhutto being assasinated. And then everyone and I fell asleep. Woke up at 9.30am and bathed and prepared to check out lo! Ate brunch at Burger King. Tired souls started leaving East Coast and left my relatives, Meiting and Chee Yew and we started crapping and gossipping!

I really enjoyed myself thoroughly at the chalet not only because I got 2 relatives there, but also because I find people there are much more simpler than other people that I hang out with. And thats why I feel more comfortable and at ease with them. I can shout and scream, do stupid things and let them see my unglam look when I wake up and I know everyone is still the same them! Of course there are problems lying beneath but I think it is much simpler and its actually not much of a problem. That is also why I want to make time to go the chalet, because many will certainly change once they enter JC life and I want to experience their character or feeling the myriad of characters produces before they change.

Sometimes meeting up with people less involved in dance is a blessing because it will lack an element of competitiveness which makes me feel much more at ease. Though they are the so-called 'forgotten batch' as according to them, I find a stronger sense of values learnt from dance in them like looking after one another, unity etcetc. No craps such as dance techniques, jealousy, competitiveness and attention seeking, just pure love for fun, understanding for one another and altruism. Even the problems we met during the 3 days are innocent and simple.

I really hope we can meet up again soon and even after you guys enter JC, though you all will be busy enough. And I am missing everyone's crappiness, especially my darling JUNHE!

And I really will miss that pure innocence from everybody, because so many people has lost it.

I guess I really wanted to just record down one of my favourite songs for 2007, though I know the song was in her 2006 album called 我要快乐?

It really hit the heart for me because it described situation that some of my friends had encountered and the solution for it.

Being in love, be it one-sided or not, it is important to know when you have to give it all up and when you need to cuddle it tightly. If not, the one you love is of no difference to the other people. Another important point is to not let a relationship, be it love or friendship, be full of guesses and suspicions. Personally I feel its good to be clean and truthful on anything and not to assume how the other party will react. If you truly love the one, you should embrace all of his/hers and not let it be something you will pick on in future. Nobody will be happy when things end up sucky, far from what you had aimed for from the beginning. Hence the ending, do not lie to ourselves about how we feel, because feelings are true and both parties should not hide. Only then the prisoner, thus the title of the song 人质, within ourselves can be released!

Thus I would like to dedicate this song to Boy A and Boy KST, Boy A and Girl TPF! We have all been friends for so long, perhaps we should all trust the beam that holds us together and come clean on the feelings that has been causing so much hurt. In the end, we will all still be friends. Maybe there maybe be some initial awkwardness, but I believe that is a step to building a stronger friendship.

Resting In Peace

JJ Ah Ma! Please rest in peace!

And to the junior who banged into her, though your life now has changed forever, moving on is even more important.

***

To the families of the 5 dragon boaters who met a freak accident in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, they really didn't die for nothing. They died fighting for themselves, fighting for the country. 5 beautiful lives were lost no doubt, but the wretched humans gained themselves a lesson to remember for, perhaps, their lifetime.

Take A Good Notice NOW!!

For people who frequents my blog, I think its really impossible to ignore something that takes up about 25% of the monitor screen when you had scrolled down to read some ever-hilarious entries by me. Its the Google Adsense advertisements.

Have anyone really paid some attention to the advertisements put up by some advertisers, both local and overseas? I myself when I check my entries' spacing, I will take a good look at the advertisements found there. There has been one on the feelings of NDP performers in this year's NDP 2007 and I think its really wonderful to see everyone feeling the same way when I helped Nan Hua out in NDP 2006. Put aside all those commercial motives of the blogalicious owner although its one of the prime reason by its there, some are often links to some meaningful sites that is worthy of reading.

Talking about noticing things around us, how long have you ignored the pots of plant outside your house? I don't know about you guys, but the boring me always love to stare hard at things around me sometimes, figuring out the difference since the last time I had taken a good look at it.

Enough said. Its always good to take a good look now while the still-beautiful scene lasts.

HTTP 404 NOT FOUND!!

This is like the 978263746765th time that I am attempting to log into my Nuffnang account and I also failed 978263746765 times. Received their mail about why it is happening, did what they said but it just keep showing the page with HTTP 404 NOT FOUND! The reason they gave is that my browser cannot connect with their site. ZZZ.

I think in life, many things also happen due to the above reason. Just look at the amount of times you were warring with your best friend because you hav heard something unpleasant and jumped to conclusion? How many times you need to apologise for not speaking clearly leading to a misunderstanding? The reason is simple. You dont understand others because you failed to connect to them. Like Suria and Channel 8.

Like the recent incident between a class chairman and a band vice president. It may be due to the chairman's misunderstanding of the vice president's awkward language and body language, it may be due to the vice president's unshakable mentality of how he should behave and how he expects people to see of him and how he expects people to place their trust in him and his trust on them, it may be due to so many things that I should not list here due to my blog's popularity!! But do the 2 guy know what is happening between them? Only the one who can climb the mountains can see the logic. If the rationale for everything is for his good, I think he has still not understood whats wrong with him. Now that I have climbed that mountain, built a hut, engineered a telescope, learnt to weather forecast and dug a natural spring, I cordoned my comfort zone. So MUM! Whats for dinner!?!

Even for something more close to my heart, the same situation occurs like a repetitive nightmare replaying itself in the studios at PA. What has been there since I knew it was gone, vanished in thin air just like that. Is it because of the people? a sole person? the mentality? a very very very deep misunderstanding? or there is something going on that I do not know? I really don't know. After the last performance, I really told myself to temporaily retire, although things have not settled down. True enough.

Can you in future please use an extra 5 seconds to make yourself clearer?

Lost the amount of sincerity you once present to your friends? Everybody faces the same problem when they grow up. Think back. When was the last time you sacrificed something for someone? been through think and thin with someone? spare that 5 seconds to make yourself clearer? or even told your friends truthfully that you have studied for a test.

Everyone what I am talking about. It happening everytime we have tests. I do not need to dwell anymore in it.

Before you loses the chance to ever spend some quality time with your friends, can we all throw out that sincerity and truthfulness on the table and shout: SHOWHAND!! LOL!!

I really envy JW(Not Jian Wei) alot! We want to love our friends to bits, enjoy every single possible time with them. But I think it can only happen if both party can compromise and know that if your friend is not really interested in your rantings of high class dinner or soccer then you shouldnt continue because you will be only playing music to cows!

I want to love my friends to bits, controversial or not.

LOL! RZJ is going to win!!

Foot Binding!!

I really wondered how did the practice of binding foot to make ancient women in China look beautiful. Didn't really had the time these few days to read up about it or whatsoever so I thought I might just post some pictures on it.

DON'T WORRY, the pictures are NOT R(21) =)

This is taken from a old lady living in China who still binds her feet in order to maintain the 'beauty' behind it, which I find it difficult to apprehend.
Now the shoes and binds are off, living the socks, those that I usually rock. LOL

I think from this picture you guys can already quite clearly see the toe. Yep, the one and only visible toe. HEY! then where did the rest go??

There you are. the other 4 toes. I cant possibly believe her smile.

The weird position of the 4 litttle toes is due to the the binding of the feel from young til now. Thus as the bones are restricted to grow in a certain desired direction, the binders lead their own feet to the formation of such.

You must have a burning question to ask after digesting the pictures.

What on earth is the deep slit/cut at the middle of the foot???????

According to a renowned self-assumist Dr Teo Wei Hong, the original sole of the foot was at where the cut began. Due to the warped front part of the feet being thicker, the heels thus also grew for the lady to level up to gain balance, thus leading to the slit. He thinks that the slit does not join up as they are growing as different entities, independent of each other.

I really wonder how she can stand not being to wriggle her little toes, like how I do it every morning on bed. It must been hellish, at least for me who saw the pictures.

NB: Pictures taken from bentoh!

They: Alan Greenspan

Alan Greenspan was the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserves (American) for 5 presidential terms, meaning 20 years of service heading many monumental policies, especially on the monetary side.

He got his First Class Honours (summa cum laude), Master's Degree and PhD in Economics from New York University, something which Adrian will deem as unusual.

He has successfully safeguarded the Amercian economy many times from possible stock market crashes, such as the 'Black Market' which occurred just 2 months after he was elected for the Chairmanship at Fed.

He is certainly quite an inspiration (I dont mean the spectacles part) to me as he is just like the mastermind behind the Amercian economy, having the ability to crash the market any moment. And I think thats why I love economics; I can formulate policies to bring maximisation of benefits.

Like I told Adrian, it super cool to be able to sit at the window and point at some charts while on telecast on ChannelNewsAsia. Although Singapore does not have a central bank like Fed for me to aspire to (LOL), I want to be part of the team of people influencing the future of Singapore's economy. ISNT TT NOBLE???

BUT WEIQIN SAYS MAS ONLY ACCEPT TOP NOTCH!

I can be like Goh Chok Tong then. He got a Master's in Economic (Labour Economics) and he heads the MAS for PM Lee! LOL thats a joke.

Then I can aspire, for now, to be top notch, I mean in economics.

BUT I ONLY TAKE H1 Economcis lehhhhhh!!!

I am going bonkers. this entry is in a mess. All the Unis offer attractive joint / double Economics majors with something else like Actuarial Studies, Law, mathematics, Engineering, Finance etc. BUT NUS sounds so cool with the 19th position in the world!!!

AHH! This is sucha lousy entry!!!! FORGIVE ME!!!!!

Bonked out ~

Its Currently Incurable.

[NEWSFLASH]
I really dunno what Mr Peh told my mum. Whatever it is, I am now deemed as a fast dumb ass who is uncomparable to my brother. Oh well, not unexpected. Is studies everything? I just dun like it when she comes wailing into my room and start complaining that I did very badly in school. I think I am still bright enough to realise that myself.

[END OF NEWSFLASH]

Anyway, I came across this poster when I was surfing for Mi Lu Bing's news album's pictures.

Yah, I know its abit too small to apprehend the poster. Its about the consequences for making out every that often, especially for the youths as there has been an increase in youths having pre-marital sex (I wonder how do they know abt it too). But I think you guys will find the below 2 posters more appealing. LOL! ENJOY!

SAVE THAT BLOODY FISH FROM THAT BOILING WOK OF OIL!

SAVE THAT BLOODY FISH FROM THAT BOILING WOK OF OIL!!!!!!!

OMG I really cannot imagine that happening and the worst is the news showed people enjoying the fish meat lah!!! *PUKES*

Apparently, the Hong Kong / China restaurant chef learnt this particular method of cooking a fish, namely the Li3 Yu2, from a highly respected master in order to provide the freshest fish meat to consumers. This, unethical method as according to me, involved first boiling a wokful of oil and by holding the fish by its head with a towel, sink the tail and body of the fish into the boiling oil and fry it. NOTE! At that point of time, the fish is not dead. It is still living with flour and what not spreaded over the body. So the chef fry and fry until the body is crispy, take it out and put on a plate, pour the sauce over the bodywith the fish's mouth still gaping in pain.

Unhumanely, the fish dish is one of the more popular one despite the fact that the fish as a vertebrate feels more pain than an animal without a backbone. OMG U CAN STILL SEE THE FISH'S MOUTHING OPENING AND CLOSING LAH, although at that point of time the fish can no longer feel anything below its head but prolly pain!

Local animal rights group argue with the vertebrate theory and that though we already know that killing of animals is inevitable as it is part of the food chain, there is no need for such treatment to animals and the group had brought the matter up to the local authorities. Local authorities had ordered the cancellation of the dish from the menu.

OMFG! I really dun see the difference in the fish's meat when u kill it and cook it immediately and cooking it while its alive. Will the meat even taste good when the fish struggles to jump out of the boiling oil????

Sometimes I really cant believe the stupidity of humans, doing these kind of selfish acts for that little satisfaction. Though, no matter wat, the fish has to die, i believe it does not hurt us to be more humane in our dealings with fellow friends from the animal kingdom and to me, a clear conscience is more important than anything else.

How about you?
