NJC Dance Presents: Aristal 2006

I must be crazy blogging so early in the day. Too bad, i just reached home from watching NJC's dance groups' collaboration to put up a concert night named Aristal. It involved their CHinese dance (Wenlin is in), Western dance (Chuyun & Jen wei is in), Indian Dance and Malay dance. lets get into the comments :)

Opening dance:
few people from each dance group came together to put up a item together. i think they wanna save their strength lo... can see some dancers not really doing their stuff properly. overall-lt was interesting, coz there is a part whereby dancers from their expertise dance other people's type of dance.

Anggun:
not as many people as seen in RV's SYF. but neatness was somewhat there :) another thing good abt it was their expressions. they brought that out better than what RV did. Of course, their skills were a tit better than RV dancers. so that added praise for it. So more RV danced that in a tense atmosphere, so most prob we cant compare both. the choreography were changed expectedly but it was still overall-ly not very messy.

1st Indian dance:
ok. Maybe I have very little exposure to this dance type but I cannot stand the dancers behind the guest dancer not doing the movements neatly. so it jus goes on with the guest dancer repeated movements. no big changes happened in the dance itself, except that the opening of the dance was quite special.

Youth:
neatness was BOOM. energetic dance movements. until dallan keep saying he wanna join this kinda dance in the future. haha. I WISH U ALL THE BEST OK? haha. dynamic choreography.

The 2 Dance with Wang Da as Guest dancer:
at times the neatness was a bit off. but WD certainly compensated that with his superb skills (dallan kept saying laoshi lai tiao jiu shi bu yi yang). haha. quite true coz it was choreography surrounds him, all about him. there was only a few parts where by he danced together with the rest of the guys. jibengong was visually very interesting. but I dun like the way the other male dancers becomes like got-also-can-dun-hav-alot-can liddat.

Cute malay dance:
HAHA Mr Osman got very cute choreography. think its about a little like summer joy de senario whereby the guys try to jio girls then in the end fight lai fight qu, jus that in a malay style. butt swaying, ti ko peh movements for males, wats more. haha. that little tinge of untidyness in movement if ok lah hor? keke

I might have seen some things wrongly coz i slept at 3 yesterday to complete my GP portfolio task and PW Prelim Ideas. woke at 6. Dry eyes. zzz BUT the whole thing is actually not bad, except for the person who controlled the lights. i think she is a trainee ( i was sitting behind the controls u see) she accidentally on the house light during the first indian dance and on the house's circle seats lights during dunno which dance. haha. I tot will have on the floor dancers lo...

NEW PROPOSAL :)
after my failed proposal for NHDS to have our own concert night like NCHS's, i have not guven up hope!!!! this new plan involves nanhua, nan chiau, tanglin, crescent & maybe DI's collaboration to put up a similar night. each team send 2 item, we will have 10 items! plus an interval, its ok:) haha. dunno lah. just suddenly tot about it. hmmm anyone interested?? pls comment and give ideas on it :)

LOL. tired. eyes still very dry. am impressed by WD. zhou gong calling me.
